We specialise in securing microelectronic devices
Securing high value content is a difficult task. We have many years of experience in securing complex System-on-Chip devices for the Pay-TV market.
The IoT is introducing more and more security risks both to the data being captured and also the devices themselves which risk mis-use.
A security perspective for hardware design
ESS is a consultancy business drawing on over 40 years of collective experience in the semiconductor industry defining leading edge deep sub micron system-on-chip (SoC) architectures, today containing up to a billion transistors. We specialize in securing embedded platforms for consumer products. Working within a major semiconductor company we have defined the security road map and architecture for several generations of Set-Top-Box products that secure Pay-TV content delivery systems and meet strict security requirements, including those of our CAS partners. This work has exposed us to a wide variety of system and hardware security threats and driven the creation of many innovative and robust solutions. The products were the first to appear in the industry and have been judged as best in class by their customers. As todays consumer devices continue to grow in complexity and become more connected then so the need for security becomes more and more important. This is where ESS can bring value by leveraging on our extensive experience and helping our customers to deliver safe and robust systems.
